Important things you should know
Acceptance We are determined to provide value for money. If it is apparent that a manuscript is wholly unsuitable for our service, we reserve the right to return it to the author together with a full refund of the fee.
Reader We guarantee that every manuscript accepted will be appraised by either Martyn Bedford or Phil Whitaker. We cannot, however, guarantee a particular choice between readers.
Schedule While we aim to supply our appraisal within 6-8 weeks, we may not always be able to meet this schedule. When we acknowledge receipt of a submission we will give an estimate of our current turnaround time. If this is longer than 8 weeks, and if this is unacceptable to the client for whatever reason, the client may terminate the commission within seven days and receive a full refund.
Fee Any doubt over calculating the fee, or if you can't present your work in the style detailed, please contact us. We cannot accept submissions unless accompanied by the correct fee.
And finally Remember, this is critical appraisal, and we do not pull punches. We will highlight strengths in the work, but we will also address weaknesses and offer strategies for improvement. Do not use our service if you are not ready for hard truths.
